In most cases medicine bills, laboratory and X-Ray charges are paid by Millat Foundation while the hospital provides them consultation and all services including operating charges, free of cost.An ultrasound urinary tract stone-screening program was initiated in 1993 of which the patients were charged nothing. Outdoor and operated patients are examined free of cost as many times as required. This facility was extended to all the patients who needed any kind of ultrasonic investigation.

Sustained financial assistance is being provided to the needy students, widows and orphans. The aspect of not injuring the self-respect is kept in view on one hand while it is tried that they keep up on their own feet and in turn are enabled to shoulder the responsibilities of their dependants.

Charitable work was going on not only for patients but also in other sectors since very beginning but it was channelized properly in November 2000 in the form of ‘Millat Foundation’. It got registered under Registration No. D.O. SW-WD-BM (RYK) 2002 - 01dated 26th April 2002, which is auditable. Tax exemption certificate was awarded under section 2 (36) of IT ordinance 2001 on 16th September 2002, which is still valid.

Day by day increasing influx of deserving patients and on the other hand highly advanced technical equipment require substantial amount. Taking only the operation theatre, even wear and tear of high cost machinery cannot be afforded by an organization that runs a hospital where most of the patients are deserving ones. Even some of the patients’ request to be operated upon had to be turned down due to lack of resources. Different equipment required in the endoscopic surgery are specialized table, stone breaking machines, different kinds of endoscopes, C-Arm Image Intensifier, variety of forceps, vital sign monitors, anesthesia machine and specially lit operation theatre. On the other hand facilities of health care provision are unaffordable for our government due to its weak financial condition and huge population in our country.
